The Saturday fog warmed all slopes turning beautiful powder into unworthy wind crust, but the idea that the well-embedded north slope preserved something... and so horrified by a stadium crowd at the Chianderans parking lot we fled in search of some tranquility and found ourselves at the start in a nice group, no one intending to track the Notch, but it happened that way. The strongest tracked allowing the whole cheerful company to reach the saddle on skis except for some short kick-turns. The descent was poor at the top then better and better with stretches of still powdery snow, then turning into a horrible depressing crust.. in short nice day and nice company. Greeting to all and special thanks to Ale who was having his birthday and offered a rich snack after the tour with the inevitable Lidia's cake..
