Description:
Drone shots of the Freikofel - Cuelat, 1757 metres above sea level. Belonging to the Carnic Alps and located on the border with Austria, the summit can be reached from the Monte Croce Carnico Pass. During the First World War it witnessed battles between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies and even today near the summit one can see the remains of trenches and military outposts, a veritable open-air museum. Also nearby are Pal Piccolo and Pal Grande, other important peaks during the Great War.
