Description: Aerial images of Pal Piccolo, a mountain at 1866 metres above sea level in the Carnic Alps, located on the border with Austria and theatre of battles between the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies during the First World War. The many remains of trenches and military structures near the summit bear witness to the war. To reach the open-air museum, take the path that starts near the Monte Croce Carnico Pass in the Upper But Valley. In close proximity are Freikofel and Pal Grande, other important peaks during the Great War.
