Description: Welcome to Friuli's highest peak! At 2780 metres, it is also the highest mountain in the Carnic Alps and marks the border with the Austrian Land of Carinthia. From the Italian side, the peak can be reached in about two hours starting from the Marinelli hut, for a total of 600 metres of altitude difference. Alternatively, the start can be made from the Tolazzi hut, doubling the walking time and the altitude difference. From the Austrian side, on the other hand, you can ascend through the via ferrata Weg der 26er. There is a wonderful panorama from the summit, from which one can admire the Austrian giants Großglockner and Großvenediger, the whole of Carnia, the Julian Alps up to Slovenia and the eastern Dolomites.
