Description:
Site is the last peak of the ridge separating Tamar Valley from Val Trenta. Less known than nearby Travnik and Mojstrovke, it offers a beautiful descent line with a splendid continuous ski run of 800m to the edge of the forest. The tour environment is spectacular facing the beautiful south face of Jalovec. The tour starts from the parking lot of the dirt road after the Isonzo springs at about 900m. Given the period temperatures we hoped for spectacular firn by starting early, but the day was really hot and at 11am, descent time, the sun had already baked the snow too much.
