Description:
Tying off belay devices is one of the basic skills of rope belaying. In this video, we show you how to properly tie off HMS, Tube, Autotube, and semi-automatic so you can take both hands off the rope. The ability to tie off your belay device is important for makeshift mountain rescue but can also help you in everyday climbing situations. For example, if your climber wants to hang in the rope longer to rest or if you're cold and want to put on a jacket.
