In the middle of Holstein Switzerland lies Eutin. Located on Lake Eutin, alongside the old town, the Eutin Castle surrounded by a moat presents itself, whose foundations lie in a medieval fortress. At the beginning of the 18th century (from about 1717), the castle received its current appearance. Belonging to the castle is a large landscape garden composed of several partial gardens. Besides the castle garden, these are the kitchen garden, the rural, natural garden, and the temple garden (formerly animal garden).
