From Malga Zermula to Punta Cul di Crete

Description: 05-10-2022: Elevation gain 686 m. Length 7 km. Punta Cul di Crete 1914 m is the westernmost “summit” of the M. Zermula ridge towering over it by about 150 m. It is a small peak closing the northwest end of the long Zermula ridge in the Carnic Alps Paularo area. Short but very rewarding excursion. Starting point: Malga Zermula reachable from Paularo via the dirt road to Passo del Cason di Lanza (at the “Da Nelut” hut turn right signs). Route: right behind the hut starts the CAI 442 mule track climbing the entire northwest ridge of Monte Zermula. At the ridge turn left on a small path to the top of Cul di Creta.
