From Pian de le Femene to Col Visentin

Here is one of the most famous itineraries of the entire prealpine arc, with the goal of Col Visentin at 1763 m elevation. It is so to speak the "western version" of the equally famous Sentiero delle Creste that starts from Casera del Nevegal with the same summit objective. Thanks to splendid panoramas both towards Val Belluna and the Treviso plain, it represents one of the most spectacular excursions of the entire prealpine area. It should be noted that good physical preparation is required as the complete route is decidedly long, however it presents no technical-alpine difficulties. From Pian de le Femene (1100 m) climb the steep hill behind the "Agostino Piol" Resistance Museum and then after a stretch on false flat among scree piles and watering troughs, descend towards Casere Frescon. Shortly after a characteristic stone "caserin" is encountered, then climb the steep slope of Monte Cor to arrive at Col de le Poiatte near which there is casera Della Giustina "Bridot". Immediately after Malga Cor and casera Sonego, climb Monte Pezza where the ruins of the historic casere Pezzetta rise. It is the turn of Monte Agnellezze where a four-meter high scree pile stands out, then reach Forcella Zoppei. From here follow for a stretch the Longhere – Col Visentin road and abandon it using frequent shortcuts between the hairpins to conclude the path on the summit of Col Visentin (1763 m) where the Rifugio 5° Artiglieria Alpina stands.
