16-07-2014 (Footage taken with Samsung HMX-H100P/EDS Video Camera) Monte Rauchkofel is a peak in Austrian territory just north of Monte Coglians, whose ascent from the Valentin Alm side is well-known to ski mountaineers. This hike reaches the summit from the Volaia Lake side (then descending to Valentin Torl), a recommended itinerary in summer for the great variety of landscapes. From its summit, one can admire the impressive north face of Coglians and the Austrian side of the Volaia mountains as well as a stunning view of Volaia Lake.
