Description:
Gamsjoch bears its name rightly: chamois, chamois, chamois—about 60 animals at hand, plus five ibex: the wildlife experience is perfect. Otherwise, up via Gumpenbach a nice, easy mountain tour with steep ascent and some pleasant stream scrambles. Early October with decent wind, though, a cold affair with interesting views.
