Description: A pass hike from Swiss canton Glarus to canton Schwyz. The route starts in Braunwald (mountain station Klein Gumen) and leads over Switzerland's largest karst landscape. You hike over Schafalp, Charetalp to Grossbodenkreuz (2072 m) and then down to Glattalp mountain station (cable car). Alternatively, descend to the valley station (with huge waiting times for the small 8-person cable car during peak times). – Tour data: 5 hours, 16 km, ascent 570 Hm, descent 1290 Hm (to valley station Sahli Bisistal). – Mapping material: Google Earth and Route Converter (Christian Pesch).
