In Klosters village (Graubünden Switzerland), the Prättigau High Trail No. 72 starts with the mountain ride of the Madrisa cable car to Saaser Alp. Over Matten, you first hike on easy terrain and later steeply up to Rätschenjoch at 2602 m (pass crossing from Klosters to St. Antönien). A longer descent leads on partly difficult path down and drags on. – My tracking does not match the prescribed route in the first third. It is not an ordinary mountain hike. It is demanding and recommended only for experienced mountain hikers. – Tour data: 16 km, 5 hours, ascent 750 Hm, descent 1286 Hm. – Route plan: Google Earth and Route Converter (Christian Pesch).
