Bacu Padente is a short gorge that after a succession of verticals ends on the sea of the Gulf of Orosei. We are in the Supramonte di Baunei in an area where weather agents have done their 'work' more than ever. Pinnacles, natural arches and caves give this area a unique and wild appearance. On this occasion we chose the ridge path that after a sequence of 3 jumps (all close to 30 m) lands right at the entrance of Grotta di Su Tentorgiu reconnecting with the bed path (the classic). Once the cave is crossed, one exits the opposite side continuing with rappels in an exceptionally beautiful environment. After the first two small verticals one can choose to continue the classic bed path or go right and do the last rappel on Grotta del Fico (considered one of the most beautiful in Supramonte di Baunei). The very strong wind created several problems along the path, in some cases the ropes, after throwing... came back. On several occasions we had to stretch them by lowering a person. For this reason in the end we opted for the classic final rappel, as anyone rappelling to Grotta del Fico must then face passages on rocks on fixed ropes, highly discouraged with waves of this size. Technical excursion with exposed passages and rappels up to 30 m (rappel starts often exposed). Gear to check due to no longer fresh ropes... and quickdraws rusted by salt spray. Very short approach, as from the cars one soon enters the ridge line. I don't comment on descent duration because it varies greatly depending on the group. Return about 1.30 hours on a very nice trail (to follow carefully especially at the beginning) with some easy climbing. Have fun.
