Description: This spectacular, engaging and demanding ring excursion takes place in the Valle di Oddoene in the Supramonte di Dorgali. More precisely, the excursion winds through the spectacular walls that bound Monte Oddeu (1063 m) to the East and is characterized by verticality and panoramas. The walls, at first sight difficult to overcome, instead hide 4 'iscalas' of the 'alpine shepherds' (more climbers than shepherds...) that allow traversing them only if all key passages to chain without error are known. S'Iscala Homines is the one closest to the Gola di Su Gorropu with a hard-to-locate 'start', it winds very airy under Punta S'Iscopargiu offering daring hikers a long series of fun rock climbs with frequent void exposures (never exaggerated) and gifts unique views of all surroundings. S'Iscala S'Istampu (The Hole), instead has the start just south of the Monte Oddeu summit and stands out for an extraordinary passage through a spectacular karst cavity allowing to overcome the very high bastions. After a sequence of three rappels, one reaches a sort of terrace from which the highest rope descent is made, 30 m. In reality this stretch can be done without ropes (better uphill in this case), if one has excellent rock familiarity.... Subsequently, altitude is lost quickly skiing on fun 'ghiaioni' to close a fabulous loop.
