The Füzérradvány Károlyi Castle built in neo-Renaissance-romantic style and its wonderful English park is one of the most attractive destinations in Zemplén. The late 16th-century building, predecessor of the present castle, was rebuilt by Károlyi Ede based on the plans of Miklós Ybl between 1850-77 in romantic style. The special octagonal tower, also a symbol of the castle, was designed by Károlyi Ede himself, thereby getting into a serious architectural dispute with Miklós Ybl, who allegedly did not allow his name to be associated with the building afterwards.
