This tour to Lago di Celentino - also known as Malga Campo tour - ranks among the most beautiful in Val di Sole. In 2021 the MTB World Championship took place here. We start in Pellizzano at 925 m. The ascent initially on a steep asphalt road past magnificent mountain villages like Castello and Ortisè. From here soon on steep gravel road, but mostly rideable, to the highest point at Malga Pozze at about 2140 m. Continue on gravel road in light intervals to Malga Monte - accompanied by dreamlike panorama Brenta - Presanella - Adamello. Here also runs the border of Stilfserjoch and Adamello National Park. We are on the Stilfserjoch National Park border. From Malga Monte begins an incredible flow trail - initially traversing the meadow slope in light intervals, then dropping to Lago di Celentino, which in summer is just a green grassy area (mostly a lake only in spring) to the incredible viewpoint at the cross with deep view Val di Sole to Adamello group and Passo Tonale. We enjoy the dreamlike panorama and continue the incredible flow trail in light interval with only a few stepped and somewhat more demanding passages to Malga Campo. A picturesque malga, newly renovated with an incredible assortment of own products like herbal and fruit juices, and excellent regional cuisine from own production. On the lovingly designed terrace with dreamlike panorama to Adamello group we enjoy our fruit juice, espressos and panna cotta caramello. Also worth a look into the modern but rustic cozy parlor and the extremely comfortable rooms. We continue our downhill under the malga on Sentiero 132. An incredibly awesome trail with some challenging passages but mostly a flow trail. Our enthusiasm knows no bounds. Last year we discovered this incredible tour and were on fire - especially for trail riding. Totally euphoric and full of happiness we reach the road at Cusiano and follow the bike path back to Pellizzano. We'll definitely come back!
