Time: 4 hours 10.2 km Elevation gain 597 m. Medium difficulty loop around Monte Baldo, the highest of the sub-prealpine hills between Revine Lago and San Lorenzo village. Opposite Nogarolo church, fraction of Tarzo, proceed right SE along via del Montagnai. Past last houses enter trail 1051 into woods as natural continuation of the road, ancient link to Serravalle. Rounding SW shoulder of Col dei Piai on rocky outcrop ground, ignore steep left deviation and continue on mule track with moderate sustained slope. Reaching abandoned house (443 m) proceed toward trail 1043. After short descent reach Pian de Sitada pasture area. Following slim track left of observation hut make light 's' turn among chestnuts to second grassy clearing. Past shack and gardens reach junction with trail 1042 to Borgo Castagnè. Turn left on 1043 to Pian del Milio shortly, area marked for wild boar eradication (evident tracks along whole path). With couple quick turns, left then right near big rocks, reach saddle Valeta dei Piai. From here right on trail developing on sharp ridge to Monte Baldo cross (597 m). Panorama spans to Vittorio Veneto and plain, north to Revine, Col Visentin, Val Lapisina and Monte Pizzoc. Continuing crest traverse meet short descent and equally short ascent to next Monte Pedof. Now long slow descent through woods meeting century-old chestnuts. One, easily recognizable at trail edge, is castagno del Paradiso, monumental tree over 500 years estimated age. At 370 m meet ruins of Montesel castle and next panoramic terrace on Monte Cucco with remains of ancient S. Antonio Abate chapel. Descending further enter Serravalle at Parco Segreto height, skirting perimeter walls along ancient via Piai emerging near Piazza Flaminio. Continue left Via Roma, past Porta S. Giovanni near Cardus restaurant, on via Caprera to Osteria Vecchia Serravalle. Past it turn left to Con Bassi hamlet, just beyond rail underpass. Past houses 76-78 straight to courtyard end entering uphill woodland trail beside stream. At top small saddle where vineyards and olive groves appear, deviate right then left into lane to Con Alto, small hamlet with few families featuring graceful 18th c. S. Floriano chapel. Proceed west to second house group; circling right last house enter nice white road stretch crossing north shoulder of Baldo. Minding lateral deviations esp. right down to Longhere, keep level line, occasionally marked white-red 1052 or light blue-white Via dell'Acqua. Light ascent to S. Augusta chapel, after long serpentine at wood edge emerge on Prese and Selve meadows overlooking Revine. Trail 1052 ends at Nogarolo entrance. In village past Locanda Codirosso to start point.
