Description: Monte Ursic is one of the peaks in the Canin group in the splendid Friulian Julian Alps. It is practically attached to its 'big brother' Monte Canin, about 40 m higher, which may be why it is less considered. With snow, however, it is easier to reach, especially from the south side. The Canin chain overlooks the Sella Nevea ski resort, a true paradise for off-piste skiing, and where our tour starts. We cross F.lla Tedesca and look out over the stunning karst plateau of Canin; the view is marvelous, and on clear days it reaches the sea. From the saddle with a long traverse and just over 100 m of elevation gain, we are on the beautiful ridge. Too bad with this year's low snow we can't ski down from the summit. Still, the effort is well rewarded by the splendid panorama and magnificent day. With me the strong Fac, Eugenio, Stiv, Franco and Gerry.
