Description:
Crissolo is the location in the shadow of Monviso, the 'Stone King'; in its territory, at Pian del Re at 2020 m, are the sources of the Po.
It is also the most important ski resort in the Upper Po Valley with its 10 km of slopes for alpine skiing. The three lifts reach the top of Monte Ghincia Pastour at 2300 m and connect Crissolo to Pian Regina on skis. The chairlift starts from the village and takes skiers uphill, where the Granero Lungo slope is also equipped with artificial snowmaking. At Pian Regina, a magic carpet serves three green slopes (0.5 km total) 180 meters long. There are two play areas dedicated to children who can have fun with or without skis in a dedicated area for them and their parents, one at the start of the Pian Regina magic carpet and one at the arrival of the Monviso chairlift.
