Description: Peter Podgornik very much likes to call himself a mountain rover as well. In addition to having been involved in mountaineering for over forty years, he is also a mountain rescuer, paraglider, mountain biker, and more could be listed. To date, he has participated in fourteen mountaineering expeditions, but he most fondly remembers the very successful expedition to the South Face of Aconcague, the highest peak of South America, in 1982. Otherwise, he is one of those who truly loves the mountains despite them not always being favorable to him. Among other things, he lost his brother Pavleta there, with whom they formed one of our best mountaineering teams in the early eighties.
