Description:
Our 2nd tour of a total of 10 in Valle Maira takes us uphill from Marmora/Vernetti Locanda Ceaglio through idyllic mountain villages to Borgata Superiore 1520 m - here begins the incredible Strada Napoleonica - initially still on a wider meadow path, then continuously on singletrail to Colle dell' Encuccetta in the interval - from here it goes on the cool flowy Bassuratrail with only few obstacles through steep forest terrain to the Maira wooden bridge. After a total of 7 km of incredible trail fun, one feels briefly transported into a historical era at Locanda Napoleonica. Return through Bassura and on the road to Ponte Marmora, from there still 5 km/280 Hm uphill back to Locanda Ceaglio, where we refresh ourselves in our incredible accommodation in the unique hotel mountain village with a cool Moretti 0.66 l.
