10 days MTB holiday in Valle Maira Piedmont in the 'Wild West' of Italy near the French border. BIKING in solitude in dreamlike landscape through idyllic mountain villages partly abandoned - only few refreshment options but enough fountains to refill bottles - hardcore biking despite tarmac uphill - then very strenuous gravel roads - steep ramps - a challenge for us 'muscle bikers'. The reward: dreamlike singletrails many flowtrails, but also demanding S3 trails. For bikers the 'heaven on earth'. Our accommodation a hotel mountain village 'LOCANDA CEAGLIO' in Marmora Vernetti at 1225 m. A family business where you are warmly welcomed and feel at home - idyllic rooms distributed over several buildings (former farmhouses) with modern comfort. The DINNER celebrated in 7 courses at the central market square in good weather rivals any Michelin-starred kitchen. For hungry athletes there's always a refill. With a good Genepi schnapps you round off the excellent and varied dinner.
