From the wild Bystričianska Valley stretching in the Vtáčnik Mountains, rises an enormous rock wall of Hrádok peak, about half a kilometer long and about 100 meters high. The wall is formed by andesite and shows characteristic, very interesting exfoliation of this volcanic rock. Hrádok is the second largest climbing area in Slovakia after the Tatras. To the summit of the cliff, incidentally considered one of the most beautiful in Czechoslovakia in the past, leads a secured path with ladders and chains. From the summit, where a pagan fortress spread in prehistoric times, there is a magnificent view into the Bystričianska Valley.
