A tour from April 2017 as an appetizer for 2021 - when the Bernese Oberland is only a risk area for ski mountaineers due to possible avalanches (let's hope!).
The most exciting and beautiful approach to Finsteraarhornhütte is from Jungfraujoch over Fiescher Sattel (avalanche conditions must of course be optimal, as the upper slope is over 40° steep); once at the saddle, you take at least Hintere Fiescherhorn (didn't have the camera) or Großes Fiescherhorn (here to enjoy) or even both, before descending on the Walliser Fiescherfirn to Finsteraarhornhütte. A great ski tour with a high summit or even two scenic 4000ers.
