Description: Tribeč is a landscape unit in the Fatra-Tatra area, a core mountain range in the arc of the Inner Western Carpathians. It is located in the districts of Nitra, Zlaté Moravce, Topoľčany and Partizánske in western Slovakia. It has the shape of a triangular spur into the Danubian Lowland, which surrounds Tribeč with the Podunajská pahorkatina sub-unit from the west and south. To the east, it adjoins Pohronský Inovec and Vtáčnik, to the north the area descends into the Hornonitrianska kotlina basin. It is 50 km long and 18 km wide at maximum. The highest peak is Veľký Tribeč (829 m a.s.l.). Deciduous beech forests predominate. It belongs to the CHKO Ponitrie. ROUTE: 1st day - Nitra - Zobor - Žibrica - Kostoľany pod Tribečom - Veľký Tribeč (28 km) 2nd day - Veľký Tribeč - Zlatno - Breziny - Hrušov Castle (20 km) 3rd day - Hrušov Castle - Lúky pod Kruhom - Skýcovský Mlyn - Penhýbel (Veľké Pole) 20 km.
