Description:
No, Risser Falk in the Karwendel is actually no secret tip. It's just a lonely mountain. Hardly anyone finds the way up - compared to the many parade mountains in the Karwendel that get plenty of visitors. - Who wants to be alone: in Falkenkar it is; more ibex than mountaineers. - Why? Falkenkar can be conquered, the approach through the stream bed is adventurous, then a often slippery-dirty forest and dwarf pine path until the upper kar. There the slog through pathless scree really begins until reaching the green gully. It spoils us with thistles in sweaty steepness; here sun for the first time. Then a tricky grass traverse before reaching Grüne-Rinnen-Scharte and the airy ridge scramble; point difficulties up to III- over a scenic abyss. Route finding is still quite simple. Then down a saddle and up the easier summit push. Voilà. You're close to heaven - and completely alone!
