Description: From the hiking portal in Feudingen we climb up to the slope of Mackelshelle. Here the first view of the historically significant place Feudingen opens up. Through spruce high forest it continues steadily uphill to Hohe Ley, where an impressive panoramic view over the wide Lahntal awaits us. After an open high plateau with views into the Wittgenstein Mountains, the path leads down into the wild romantic Ilsetal. The path, later an enchanted trail, leads us along a steep bank next to the rushing bed of the Ilse to the confluence of the Weidelbach. We follow this to the right up to the Weidelbacher Weiher. Then we hike over the shelter and rest area 'Bettelmannsbuche' to the Lahntal. On the slope of the young Lahn we continue towards Volkholz.
