Description: 11-08-2021: Sengia dei Meoni (Rock house) and Cava/Priara de Cice (Stone Museum) In a stone quarry opened on a ledge near the village, a characteristic rock dwelling was ingeniously carved, inhabited until 1959. A lightning bolt descending the chimney during a thunderstorm forced the family to leave the house. 'On August 11, 1959 - tells Adelaide Meoni - at seven in the evening, a violent thunderstorm hit with thunder, lightning and flashes on the Sengia. A lightning bolt came down the chimney and discharged on the electrical system, destroying everything: the weaker stones of the walls and windows fell... Guerrino Pescaore ran to the village to call for help, they thought we were all dead... Just before the lightning I prayed a lot, burning the olive and with the blessed candle lit, so that we would be saved... I was thus graced that no one was hurt, even though everything had fallen.'
