Description:
Hidden in the forest and entwined and concealed by dense plant growth are the remains of the former Sichtenberg castle.
Sichtenberg was built in the 12th century.
By the first half of the 17th century, the castle had long lost its military value and as a residence no longer met the requirements of the inhabitants, so it is not surprising that it was soon abandoned and left to decay.
