Description: It is not too close to the main road, but it is precisely the embrace of the cornfields that gives Pusztatorony its impressive dignity. Based on archaeological excavations, the Somogyvámosi Pusztatorony was probably built in the 12th century in late Romanesque, early Gothic style. Its characteristic tower, transitioning from square to octagon, has stood unshakable since then. The centuries have worn the church, but the tower, part of the sanctuary, and the western wall remain to this day.
