Description: The medieval Somoskő Castle, built on a spectacular volcanic peak, ended up just a few meters behind the Trianon border. For decades, it could only be admired from the edge of the village, but fortunately today, with open borders, we can visit the imposing castle ruins without problems, along with the geological curiosity on the mountainside also belonging to Slovakia, the basalt organ pipes and the stone sea.
