Spectacular Sunrise at the Summit with Sea of Clouds

Description:
One of the best sunrises and the most beautiful sea of clouds I have ever seen. I started the hike at Malga Caserutte, on the road from Pontebba to Passo del Cason di Lanza. From here I proceed to the southern wall of Creta di Aip (Trogkofel), where the easy Ferrata Crete Rosse begins. After finishing the short equipped section, I reach the summit plateau of the mountain and soon the top at 2280 meters. From here I pass into Austrian territory and descend via the equally easy Uiberlacher ferrata and return to the Italian-Austrian border, where the path runs that soon leads to the Lomasti bivouac, installed in 1979 and renovated in 2019. After spending the night there, wake up in the middle of the night to climb about 50 minutes to Monte Cavallo di Pontebba (Rosskofel), at an altitude of 2239 meters. Here the surprise is incredible: a 360° sea of clouds frames one of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever witnessed. After enjoying the show, I return to the bivouac, pick up the things left there and return to the starting point. Route of about 18 km and 1300 meters elevation gain.
