Description: Teruel is a municipality and Spanish city located in southern Aragon, capital of the homonymous province. With 35,994 inhabitants (INE 2021), it is the least populated provincial capital in the country. Located in the central-eastern area of the Iberian Peninsula, at an altitude of about 915 m above sea level, it lies at the confluence of the Alfambra and Guadalaviar rivers, known downstream from the city as Turia. Its climate is characterized by very cold winters and warm/temperate and dry summers.
