Description: Did you know Morocco's highest peak exceeds 4000m? Yes, this African country offers much more than just desert! Although we didn't stand on top of Toubkal, we still tasted the Moroccan mountains and went trekking in the High Atlas without a guide. There we met the Berbers, a people living secluded from the mad world, high in the mountains. Long distances between places are easier to conquer than on foot with the help of mountain roads that snake over the pass at over 2000m above sea level. Driving around here is truly a special treat! The same could be said for a walk through the labyrinth amid the UNESCO palm grove of thousands of palms and numerous film locations. And where to best end the day? At the sea! So we headed all the way to Essauira!
