Description:
The castle, located on a narrow rocky spur above Stall, dates back to the 10th or 11th century. It was first owned by the Diocese of Freising, followed in the 12th century by the Archdiocese of Salzburg as the lord of the estate. The first documentary mention of the castle dates from 1197. In 1271, it was documentarily mentioned with the Count of Görz.
