I present a wonderful trail leading to the Krempe saddle (866 m), located above Borovec pri Kočevski reki on the edge of the Krokar primeval forest, which is under Unesca protection. A wonderful surprise awaited me on the saddle: blooming narcissi that spread across the meadows and created a fairy-tale atmosphere. From the saddle, I descended to Reško Lake, an artificial lake built in 1978. The lake is home to numerous animal and plant species, including the white-tailed eagle, the largest bird of prey in Europe. Along the lower part of the lake runs the Orlova Trail, an interesting and varied path offering beautiful views of the lake and surrounding forests.
