Globe Flower (Trollius europaeus)

Description:
The globeflower is a plant up to 60 cm tall that thrives in the mid-mountain range. A larger number of petals (around 15) grow on the yellow flower, forming a sort of round shape. At first glance, it looks as if the flower has not yet opened, but this is only an illusion due to the greater number of petals. The plant can be observed at the end of spring and the beginning of summer.

Today I accidentally noticed that for these pictures the flower species is listed as golden globeflower. I think this term is not appropriate because this species is not in MAF.zmeden Under the Latin name Trollius europaeus, the Slovenian name in MAF is common globeflower. Or is there perhaps some explanation for this name golden globeflower? I will be glad for any response on this matter. nasmehmežikanje

The page caretaker should correct the name to NAVADNA POGAČICA.
