Yeah, and if you're unlucky they can crush your leg.

Yesterday morning on Sauleck via ferrata - nice sporting enjoyment at 3000 meters, especially on the ridge ... From the junction for the ferrata the sign is practically not visible, unfortunately the entry sign for the ferrata is behind the extreme gully and is not visible from below, so searching for the entry is difficult (if you don't know where it is)... at the entry the mentioned extreme gully is quite annoying, easier goes via the gully on the right... above 2900 m still some new snow... on descent from the summit snowfields are practically uninterrupted from 2800 m down to the junction for the ferrata, after 10h snow is completely soaked... often edges of snowfields don't hold human weight.

Nice complex tour, we were in 2015 in September and there was no snow... Ferrata is not too demanding, offers really nice views and varied climbing, ridge to summit is of course šusss... For the whole tour we took a good 11 hours...

We two also overall walked a bit more than 10 h, but we slept in between at the hut A. v. Schmidt and climbed the ferrata in the morning, so the comparison doesn't count .. really nice tour!

On Sunday in the beautiful world of High Tours ! Once you look closer into their world, you can't silence the desire to return there. Always from all mountains I look for views to Hochalmspitze, Grossglockner and Ankogel, but those high peaks are often in clouds and thus unreachable to the eyes. This time it wasn't so . Wonderful vistas already on the path hinted at boundless views from the summit, only with the difference that they were much closer than usual, much more real. But you can't just get there. Several things need to align for that. Actually you're on the wonderful tour to Säuleck from the very beginning, right from when the desire arises to step on its summit. When you browse descriptions, view photos and consult someone who's been up there , you're already on the good path. But everything is much nicer than you imagine, sparkling water in streams, waterfalls and greenery accompany you the whole way. You really don't know what deserves more attention. Everything is paradisiacal, everything is on display, you just have to go there to convince yourself. But the path is long, worth every step though. We met a couple of Slovenians below the summit, but all were in these parts already from the previous day. Drive from us approx. 2.5 hours each way, 38 km accumulate on the whole path, ascent about 1700 m. More from photos .

Nice, as always. Only the driven km (if only it were so close) you shortened considerably. The answer to the riddle with the view on the "queen" you provided yourself.

I saw your pictures, it pulls me back there again; was there 2 times but always did it in two days and slept in the hut (now-this year don't dare sleep in any hut because of virus and unfortunately only day trips, shame because family running the hut is really super, food excellent and beer first league , do they still have horses for food transport?); from pictures see you went up and down same path, shame because on return could do geological path on opposite lake side right to hut (at least remains for next time )
