In the vicinity of the sought mountain there is a mountain that has a horse in its name, but it's not Konj 1802.

That's it. Bravo, Jože. More hints: the fortified military ridge of Zermula, which has an interesting ferrata from Lonice pass, and also the ridge path described in Karnian Wanderings, is north of the "little cow" or "cow peak" (Grauzaria 2065m), nearby are Koritnik (Creta di Aip or Trogkofel) and Konjski špik (Monte Cavallo or Rosskofel) above Mokrin ski slopes. So not in RS. The horned one on s is unicorn. Zermula at 2143m is lower than the 2753m high Montaža. The picture also shows Grauzaria and Sernio.

Since this peak is also part of "Peaks of Friendship" (60), I've been up there too. Approach via not too demanding ferrata and then right to the summit. Descended along the eastern ridge to the Forza di Lanza saddle and to Cason di Lanza pass. (map, Tabacco 018) Leaving the riddle to others.

Well, I'll allow myself to steal a bit of attention from the words around Triglav and try to direct attention to this riddle. Where does this rocky loner stand and what rock composition is it?

Looks just like the one under Plešivec. Around the formation??? Gray rock ?

Bravo, Lidija! Maybe Bojan jumps in to help and tells us even the age of the loner.

Old? When I was walking around there, it reached my shoulders.

Quite possible. When I went past there on Tuesday, it had already overgrown me quite a bit. Anyway, we all know that the Karawanks are much older in origin than the Julian Alps. Miri, and when we're old, waiting at home for grandchildren to bring us fresh photos from Karawanks summits, we might spot Triglav down there...

Well, since you just mentioned Triglav, an easy one: from where can it be seen so nicely like this?

I'd say from Škrnatarica?

Even more likely from Šplevta (2272m).

A bit to the left of Kepa?

Somewhere from the sea. Just strange to me that this seagull posing on coastal rocks is black.
