No, but seriously, what's the deal? Are they now Polhograjci or not? And, for the sake of my general knowledge, since when are they called "Dolomiti"?

Bravo little guy, you're up, one tough mountainous one for a gift

Mikipi, I found that only because I was looking for churches from the period of that one in the background.
One easy, to get things going faster on this slushy day....

SamoK, since always, because it's sedimentary carbonate rocks, in which limestone is also contained in Polhograjci.

They've been called Polhograjski dolomiti since forever,
Polhograjci is just an abbreviation

palčekplezalček, that's all clear to me. I'm asking since when the range is named like that. Name.

I apologize, but I really must add this.
ločanka, that's clear too. Just not clear that they're also called just "Dolomiti", as more clued-in mikipi claims.

SamoK, you'll find in every elementary textbook that Polhograjsko hribovje also has the name Polhograjski dolomiti precisely because of what I wrote, but you know.

No offense Samo. Obviously I wanted to mislead you with "just dolomiti". And deliberately I wrote dolomiti with small letter. Judging by the landscape I hoped you'd quickly realize it's the Polhograjske ones. That's why I didn't give Italian ones, because I see it gets on your nerves a bit. But I like them, it's really nice there.

Mikipi, traditionally it falls under Gorenjska.

Oh man, like talking to the deaf.
I know perfectly well they are called Polhograjski dolomiti. But I didn't know (at least not until mikipi enlightened me) that nowadays they are just called "Dolomiti".
Now I'll really stop, because I'm annoying myself.
But I'd be glad for mikipi's private reply, since when Polhograjski Dolomiti are called just Dolomiti. Thanks.

Palček is right, but the name dolomiti isn't commonly heard, well at least I never hear it

SamoK, you're not talking to the deaf, you just didn't express it exactly.

All nice and right. We all learned it and also forgot. What bothered me is what Samo wrote and I agree with him. Mikipi posed the question in the Dolomites. Dolomites are in Italy. Here we have Polhograjski .....
