I still swear by Planika boots, I had Alpina ones so worn out in one season as Planika in seven seasons (on same hikes), on the first used Alpina boot the lace hook flew off my wife's when it got caught on wood?!

Felix you're not the only one with bad experiences with Alpina.... my dear bought two or three years ago their then best hiking boot practically good idea where you buy left and right shoe separately, because they explained legs are somewhat different...
well the sole partially peeled off already first year, we had it repaired and like that every year... true they always did it for free.. but I had to take them every time to the store or even factory in Žiri.. eek

ljubitelj gora I have Alpina VX 953 for three years already and they are still fine, and I do quite a lot of ascents with them
tibet are even a bit better, so if you take tibet you surely won't regret

Felix, interesting. I had a rather bad experience precisely with Planika boots. Soon the sole started coming off. With Alpina boots so far all without problems (fishing and running ones). But the last two pairs I had from Asolo and I was super satisfied. Probably I would buy them again, but I took advantage of the Alpina discount (VX 953). I hope I won't regret it.

Tibet are at home, at -50% I didn't think anything, just tried and bought.

The discount is valid until tomorrow, and it's -50%, not like sales up to -50%.

LP!

I'm completely new to hiking so I went yesterday to Alpina for bootsvelik nasmeh Since of course I have no idea about quality, and which boot is most suitable, I of course listened to all advice from the saleswoman in the store. I'm interested in experiences and if these Alpina Komna boots are quality for hiking because on no website is anything written, except on one hunting online store. I decided between these and Tibet Blue, but because of the calmer color took these.

I think there is no boot that fits everyone. Some praise this brand, others another. But a lot depends on walking style (every person has a different walking style). Then it depends on the foot (wide foot, high..) many important factors. In my hiking I have already changed a whole range of boots and wouldn't say for any brand that you must buy this one.
To that realization, which boot? You'll have to find out yourself.
Then there's price range, purpose of use. I have at least three types of boots.
- winter
- boot I put on for via ferrata
- boot I use combined
For now at the beginning it's important you have no problems walking. Over time you'll figure out with mileage what you need?
May they serve you well..

Yesterday I got Alpina shoes model Lhotse. I'm wondering if any forum member has experiences with them?

Yesterday I made a test visit to Ratitovec with the boots. It bothers me that the boots in the upper part, back, are hard and left marks on the leg.
Is there any solution for that!?
I thought of cutting off the lower part of a thicker sock, and using the upper one as a cushion for the calf. Any other suggestions maybe?

Some time ago I tried Alpina Teton, already after first tour I sold them, didn't perform. Which boots or technical footwear do you recommend for mixed tours, i.e. snow, ice, rock... Maybe also about prices?

La Sportiva Trango Primenasmeh, La Sportiva Nepal Evo GTX, Nepal Extremenasmeh, (according to expert opinion Nepal much better than La Sportiva Batura Evo...) prices range from 300 upwards (if you wait for discounts up to 20%-max. 25 less for these models...) I had LS Karakorum Pro GTX before, climbed everything possible with them, but when I tried Prime from LS it's night/day, pair only 1500g extremely precise and for me top technical boot for winter alpinism
on the other hand friend swears by Scarpa, Grandes Jorasses also top, anyway 100 people 100 wonders. You just go to store and start trying models. But I tell you under 200-250 no top boot (on discount). New of course! Wish you smart choice and lots of fun on ice, snow and mixed...

With Lhotse I'm extremely satisfied,
wouldn't classify them as winter ones.
My experiences with Alpina are such that, as less demanding, I say they're great for a small country like ours.
Tastes are of course different.

One shortcoming is that Alpina can't compare to winter technical boots of other makers, because they simply... don't have themeek
P.S. even with Teton you can climb many thingsmežikanje seen and documented

No hard feelings, but go paint your shoes. jezik Those shoes in the first picture really aren't worn twice and not even a year old.

Last year I used Alpina VX953 shoes. After a couple months the rubber on the toe tips peeled off, which Alpina also repaired. But I have to emphasize that Alpina has a wide last, at least on this model, don't know others. So flatfooters, pronators beware! For example La Sportiva makes much narrower soles, narrow shoes and the foot doesn't "dance".

Juš,
with all respect, you've mentioned several times yourself not to mix apples and pears, meaning alpinists and other mountain visitors.
For all hikers, mountaineers, alpinists Alpina is great and more than 200 eu for shoes is stingy. Alpina offers one year warranty upon presenting the receipt, shoes are quality made and well shaped. I've used a series of shoes from different brands (almost all companies produce certain programs in PRC, etc). Currently using Alpina Nepal_made in SLO, really a bit reminiscent of La Sportiva,
but this is my highest quality hiking boot so far. All honor to the "cross between giraffe and sheep" for quality work and also friendly sellers in the sports store in Žiri. Although it sounds like advertising, I don't expect extra discount for that.

Hi......

I have hiking shoes Alpina Lhotse for about two months, and on both on the inner back side something started tearing. Going tomorrow to the store to see what the gentlemen say, because I believe shoes for 220€ should last at least 5-7 years with proper care!! Before these I had Alpina Tibet with no problems!!

made in china, that's also stingy. The fact is, if you want a good winter boot the lower limit is 200, even if because of me hikers, Sunday walkers, mountaineers, alpinists slaughter each other. Everyone has the right to give their opinion, so do I, now expressing mine. Alpina is NO LONGER at the level, others invest in development and progress, Alpina fights for survival... I don't say, temporarily it works, but sooner or later the difference between winter boot and WINTER boot shows. So you don't think, more and more people choose what you call "technical winter boot" be it Millet, LS, Scarpa, Hanwag... etc. Why?

With all due respect, I have nothing against Alpina, it bothered me that you think 200 euros for a boot is stingy. By the way Alpina also costs that much, 220, if I'm not mistaken. For boots I give even 400 if needed, and I know why...
