Alpina Žiri Shoes

Me too, I've recently been using Alpina Lhotse (brown leather). I've worn them on a few hikes so far, but very satisfied so far. Good shoe for winter conditions, but for summer at least for me too heavy and stiff. For 140 EUR definitely a good buy, if only they don't wear out too soon...

Hi, last year in January I bought Alpina-Tibet shoes, in August had to change sole more or less for safety as profile almost gone. Tried Garmont - whatever but not even close to the feeling of Tibet. Will pay 40 euros again for sole change if needed...velik nasmeh

Gonzales, same problem my brother had. Shoes under warranty nicely sewn, now always carries spoon for putting on shoes, no problem anymore. Thrilled with them, less so my husband who bought half size too small, still "hammer" when walking downhill... Lp

For two years I've been wearing Alpina Tibet, no problems, no blisters, nothing has fallen off yet despite at least 25 two-thousanders per year and many hills in between. Expecting another year. Got La Sportiva shoe of similar weight for free this year, which fits my foot less well, so next shoe from Alpina too. Plus supporting our producer, which counts for something, right? Also have 20-year-old Alpina winter shoe for automatic crampons, still wear occasionally, probably not as comfortable as today's. Calm blood and nice mountains!

I have Alpina NEPAL, super shoe without blisters. Comfortable and suitable for all seasons.

Aha, with Tibet I did 60 demanding tours (some 100,000 vertical). They would last 5 years if I hiked less in the mountains, but only a good year. Some had other La Sportiva boots that started falling apart after a few tours, so if you're looking for good boots, then Tibet. In winter I wore them too and due to the soft sole I went up the hill more easily than others and was less often on the ground. They don't soak unless you walk in watervelik nasmeh, the sole is replaceable, costs 40 euros.

Yes, I also forgot to mention that my shoes were used 2x weekly. Because they give a good feel and are broken in, I also paid those 40 euros. Mine don't get wet, I regularly grease them with impregnation grease bought in Alpina. I support our producers. It's senseless to buy shoes for who knows how much if I get them for 80 euros, I'll have a new sole multiple times. velik nasmeh Nice regards and safe step.

Tibet yes, but other Alpina boots that are much cheaper can be a bad buy. I have some more that cost full price 80 euros, tread is still there but they slip and get wet. More suitable for mushrooming or forest walk.

I own Alpina: Ledakh, Anapurna and Rombon. None are particularly expensive, quite satisfied with all. I know bad Alpin as too.

10 years ago I had problems with Alpina shoes (3x claim, 2x got new, last credit note). Then I bought Scarpa, La Sportiva and Lowa. All these shoes are (were) super, but more expensive than Alpina.

With all due respect, I agree with Jus. It's not stingy to pay 200€ or more for shoes and have no problems with themvelik nasmeh. I have a really weird foot and the only shoe that fits me is Asolo, narrow enough, high enough, comfortable enough, and I wear it with pleasure, "noble" boot. I paid "only" 145€ for them on discount (officially they cost 179€). Totally cheap. I wanted to support domestic producers, others too..... unfortunately it didn't work. Now I join Jus on the tree, just take the teddy bear with me for comfortjezik

Probably the brand is not so important, sometimes the price isn't either, but that we can hike the whole day in any terrain without blisters.
Since in summer I am more a fan of low or high soft shoes (of course with Vibram sole), I recently got Lowa. I had similar problems as janez.novak with Alpina (3x claim, 2x new ones, finally credit note). Shoes were super, but each time the front peeled off. Maybe it was a bad batch or ...
Probably everyone in this big selection has to find shoes that suit them. Often the price doesn't matter at all. You can do a lot even with cheap ones.

No, they have 40% discount in discount stores. They also informed all recipients of their e-mail. In Ljubljana, Alpina's discount is in BTC hall 6.
For certain fashion footwear, the discount is 50%.

I'm wondering if anyone has these hiking shoes and how they perform, or if they maybe come in another color?

My colleague has them. He uses them rather little and only for easier hikes like Ratitovec and Blegoš. He says they are ok. And he hasn't had any issues with the soles (yet).
