Nice, ad for Alpina, but if you wear them in winter, you won't stay satisfied long. Regards!

Why not, do they get soaked? A few more photos:

@POLJANC. First-hand (bought them last year), I can tell you I'm very satisfied so far. There are two versions of Lhotse model - brown and orange. But in my opinion it's mainly a winter boot, though some use it for high mountains in summer too. Recommend (especially if you get it on sale e.g. -40%)!

Hribovc, be careful also on very karstic (scree etc.) terrains, because the sole is a bit soft and can twist unpleasantly.

Hribovc, I currently have those shoes and I'm very disappointed. In less than a year, three times to the shoemaker. This is the left one, the right one isn't any better.

tinky, didn't you take a picture of my shoes But I have to say, the second time I took the sole to a local shoemaker and not to Alpina and he fixed it much better.

Which ones do you recommend then? If it's like that anyway, I'll go exchange them for some more compact ones.

And why didn't you take Tibet, I have good experiences with them. Except maybe some Teton, the other models I rather don't buy. They are more for going to the woods for mushrooms and chestnuts.

Which ones are Tibet and how much do they cost, do you have any photo?

I buy hiking shoes. So far I've always had alpina, only once planika. Alpina is a very high-quality gojzdar. If you buy alpina you have to watch that it doesn't say MADE IN ROMANIA OR MADE IN VIETNAM. I've had those problems too.

I didn't mean to comment, but since this debate about bashing Alpina has dragged on for a long time, I'd like to give my opinion too: I really like Alpina. I've had low Escape for 5 years, 3 years summer ones, which I can't find on the site anymore (similar to Tibet, just a bit lighter) and this year winter Teton. Super satisfied with all and next will be Alpina again! Price ratio (especially regular discount sales)/quality is much higher at Alpina than elsewhere.

I took them back, they gave me money back and issue solved Can't give rating if they hold up or not, cause sadly I didn't go anywhere with them, otherwise when I had them on felt pretty okay.

For me Rombon holds up okay, but not my only pair of boots.

Well no luck Jaša, if they tear at seams three times can't praise them.
