There are many good photographers on "Hribi". That's why I'm opening a post on this topic - AUTUMN/CHESTNUTS/LARCHES.... - basically everything related to the season that's already at the doorstep!! I'd like us to collect as many PHOTOS on the theme - AUTUMN!! Lp

The day before yesterday I went from Suhadolnik over Korsa and Jezerska Kočna to Grintovec, then over Kokrško sedlo back to Suhadolnik. It was gorgeous. Sun, proper wind, dry rock, and thick fog blanket in the valley (at least that's how it looked from the summits). A day not to be missed.

I also went today to the nearby local forest, which is known for its abundance of chestnut trees. And look, in less than three hours, due to the damn heavy backpack, I had to leave the forest. Karrimor 20l was full of delicious chestnuts. I did another loop through the forest around Pržanja, but no boletus; I found only some pigeon mushrooms, which due to conditional preparation regarding edibility I don't collect. At Šiptarji on the square, the marrons price is around 5 eur, other scraps 2.5 eur, if bought already roasted then salted five eur for barely ten in škeniceljnu. So my home (roasting at home on railway perforated plate) saved me about fifty euros. Go to the woods, there's plenty and combine nice walk admiring autumn colors. Lp-Rok

When the chestnuts on the fire start rustling from the heat and smell nice, then the scent will spread all over Slovenia, maybe even to Trentino over the mountains from Triglav, who knows? My doors are open to all, especially good people. Lp

Viharnik! When I saw the picture with description (drying in the sun). Did you hear? chestnuts before roasting soak for 24 hours in water!! Then no need to cut them!! Try one roast and tell!! Lp

Yes, I heard Mr. Geppo, but if I'll be shot by uncut chestnuts, then report little, even less serve anything to anyone (neighbors). Lp
