From Kupljenik we climbed to Babji zob. Knee-deep through fresh green forest and towards the top scenic path along the edge of the "tooth". From the top we continued to Ricman and then circled back by feel to the ascent direction.

On the first picture it's of course Kupljenik. The village is quite a bit lower- by the Sava Bohinjka.

Some snapshots from yesterday's trip Rovtarica - Babji zob.
The path for most part follows forest roads, last part on unmarked trail.

From Kupljenik I set off to Babji zob, where I haven't been yet. Snow already from start to the top. Only one track, and not even to the top. Nice views towards Bled and Bohinjska Bela. Snow sinking all the way, so the trip was quite nasty. Gotta repeat when the path is bare.

I'm wondering how to reach Babji zob by shortest path if going by train from Gorica to Bled? Which station to get off and how to continue?

The nearest station is Bohinjska Bela.

From Bohinjska Bela, Kupljenik, Planina Prihod, Babji zob. The path is well marked, just don't go to the cave under Babji zob. Under the barracks there's a footbridge for pedestrians; it's worth asking at the gate if it's also for civilians. The guys are friendly and the path shortens a lot. If there's no passage there, it's closer towards the church and then to Kupljenik. Good luck, nice views in nice weather won't be missing anyway.

18.10.2015 In quite warm weather for the season, after the ascent to Jerebikovec we decided also for the don't-know-how-manyth planned Babji zob. Drive from Radovna to Kupljenik to the parking lot next to the little church. Then follows a very interesting ascent to Babji zob, the path runs all the time along the edge with views through the trees to the Bled valley all the way to Begunje, the Julian Alps, Karavanke..... Highly recommend the ascent, it's not long and not strenuous. Some photos together with Jerebikovec at - www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/.

Kupljenik - cave - Gamsji prelaz (collapsed with barely a couple mm of cable left) - Rjavi vrh - Vedrnik (searching start entry after end cart track left into fallen but not steep gully lower half bit over right on abandoned hunting) - cave - Kupljenik. 3 hours with orienteering loops and quite solid Salomons

Nice you wrote about the forgotten path from Kupljenik to the cave. This path is officially no more, although on the Bled cave research society page, which leads cave tours, it writes that you can reach the cave also from the village. We can only imagine tourists searching for marks that don't exist in the multitude of tracks. Although I warned them last year already, they are too lazy to arrange it. Also on other paths around the village it's hard to see any mark; it's true they put quite a few new signs at junctions.

Attaching "sketch" of actual approaches. On Družinska there are orange marks for CAVE (park under village), green track from Kupljenik village (NORMAL) where path to Babji zob with boards and marks exists for years but not on maps, by cave on Babji zob climbing (VIOLET). Will anyone who climbed tell more and give pic.

Today on a rainier day to little known peak above Kupljenik village. Drive through Bled and then towards Bohinj. Already quite soon from Bled we see the left turnoff to Kupljenik. On the opposite side we see Bohinjska Bela. Drive into the village and on the right side notice the sign for Babji vrh. Here is a small parking lot. To the top we will have an hour and a half walk. Path is marked. Locally quite steep. The path leads us to the first viewpoint with bench. Bled lake we have deep below within reach. We reach the second viewpoint with panoramic panel. Also bench here. Finally we reach the top. Again panel, bench and box for entries and even stamp. Today high cloudiness, but the view was good anyway. Path runs through forest all the way and is very suitable goal also in summer heat.
This is how Babji zob is seen from the road to Bohinj1

Even in a bit worse weather it's often nice. Path cared for by Td Bohinjska Bela in translation three to five "Klpenčanov" as we Selani and Belani mistakenly call them. There they still gather, come to St. Stephen's on Kupljenik (26.12) to see what can be done with good will, much already visible on pics.

Me too going a bit path tracing. Yesterday on the way back from the top of Babji zob I went a bit my own way and came upon some rocky ridgelet Bab. Path to there on rocks someone marked. Found two more private huts. From both wonderful view on Bled lake. Last one owned by two hunters. They even drive up with car. They kindly served me. But they were more mushrooming than hunting. From their hut along the edge - there's an unmarked path - I reached the usual path at that window.
Planina Prihod.1
The marked path goes from the pasture to the left, I went right towards Talež.2
We arrive at the road, then the signs soon direct us to the right-Talež.3
4
We walk more or less on nice little paths.5
6
I arrived at the Bab ridgelet.7
8
Someone marked the rocky ridgelet with lines.9
10
There were also old markings.11
I don't know what this mark means.12
Well, I reached the end of the ridgelet and then returned to the path leading to Talež.13
Further on.14
I found the first hunting lodge.15
The view down enchants.16
I explore further and reach the hut of two hunters. I get all data on wild animals in this hunting area. There is deer as well as roe deer.17
This is the Bab area - the surprise is inside this box. You have to discover it yourselves.18
Even from here, the islet in the middle of the lake enchants us.19
Down along the edge of Bab on a good visible path.20
We reach the marked path near that mini window in the rocks.21
