Nice hiking trail and suitable for a Sunday trip. Views of Lake Bled and surroundings. Nice mountain greeting.

From Kupljenik we climbed to Babji zob. Knee-deep through fresh green forest and towards the top scenic path along the edge of the "tooth". From the top we continued to Ricman and then circled back by feel to the ascent direction.

On the first picture it's of course Kupljenik. The village is quite a bit lower- by the Sava Bohinjka.

From Kupljenik I set off to Babji zob, where I haven't been yet. Snow already from start to the top. Only one track, and not even to the top. Nice views towards Bled and Bohinjska Bela. Snow sinking all the way, so the trip was quite nasty. Gotta repeat when the path is bare.

I'm wondering how to reach Babji zob by shortest path if going by train from Gorica to Bled? Which station to get off and how to continue?

The nearest station is Bohinjska Bela.

From Bohinjska Bela, Kupljenik, Planina Prihod, Babji zob. The path is well marked, just don't go to the cave under Babji zob. Under the barracks there's a footbridge for pedestrians; it's worth asking at the gate if it's also for civilians. The guys are friendly and the path shortens a lot. If there's no passage there, it's closer towards the church and then to Kupljenik. Good luck, nice views in nice weather won't be missing anyway.

18.10.2015 In quite warm weather for the season, after the ascent to Jerebikovec we decided also for the don't-know-how-manyth planned Babji zob. Drive from Radovna to Kupljenik to the parking lot next to the little church. Then follows a very interesting ascent to Babji zob, the path runs all the time along the edge with views through the trees to the Bled valley all the way to Begunje, the Julian Alps, Karavanke..... Highly recommend the ascent, it's not long and not strenuous. Some photos together with Jerebikovec at - www.pdmaticams-drustvo.si/.

Nice you wrote about the forgotten path from Kupljenik to the cave. This path is officially no more, although on the Bled cave research society page, which leads cave tours, it writes that you can reach the cave also from the village. We can only imagine tourists searching for marks that don't exist in the multitude of tracks. Although I warned them last year already, they are too lazy to arrange it. Also on other paths around the village it's hard to see any mark; it's true they put quite a few new signs at junctions.

Attaching "sketch" of actual approaches. On Družinska there are orange marks for CAVE (park under village), green track from Kupljenik village (NORMAL) where path to Babji zob with boards and marks exists for years but not on maps, by cave on Babji zob climbing (VIOLET). Will anyone who climbed tell more and give pic.

Even in a bit worse weather it's often nice. Path cared for by Td Bohinjska Bela in translation three to five "Klpenčanov" as we Selani and Belani mistakenly call them. There they still gather, come to St. Stephen's on Kupljenik (26.12) to see what can be done with good will, much already visible on pics.
