Bračičeva Trail - Haloze

Yes really we're dealing with logistics where to leave the car, because we'll sleep at the tourist farm Kozarcan or Mr. Rosker is the owner of that farm, which is 2 km from Cirkulan and is in Pristava 28a. So we've calculated that if we start at Slatina 40 where KT4 is then go on to KT5 and so on to Cirkulan that's 6.5 hours walking and then another half hour to that farm where we'll sleep and second day the rest of the trail about 5.5 hours walking to finish, so we're interested how to get from Ptuj to Slatina 40 by car where KT4 is and where we could park and leave the car if possible?

Farm Kozarčan is only about 5 min (300 m) from Bračič's. On foot via shortcut, towards that antenna on the hill.
Just a suggestion, if you start in Cirkulane, you're about halfway wink.
Wifi won't be a problem here, very well covered and free. big big: cool
Kozarčan1
Between the fences there is a passage, at least there was to my luck. Bračičeva pot runs along the ridge past the tower and the Slatina weather station.2
Buck in the enclosure3
Cirkulane from Slatina (from the antenna tower).4

Hello everyone, today we fully walked and completed Bračič's mountain trail in two days. I have to say there was about 30 cm of snow all the way and we had to literally break trail on certain parts especially where there was forest we struggled a lot because we were making fresh trail. First day we walked with stops, which were really few, 7:45 hours and second day same time just a bit more stops in between. So altogether we spent 15 hours walking in snowy and icy conditions for the whole route and about three times we strayed a bit off the path and had to look for markers because snow covered them, but otherwise we had a great time and both happy and satisfied that we succeeded. Now a little rest then we'll send filled logbooks to PD Cirkulane so they send us the confirmed one with stamp back and then towards new hiking adventures. And thanks everyone for useful info on logistics. At the end I'd like to thank the friendly people along the way who helped us in uncertainty and finding the path when we couldn't find markers and especially the family, I think it was somewhere near settlement Gradišča before we climbed to the ridge of the hill by Drava from where we then started descending towards Dolane. The lady who is also a hiker invited us to the house and cooked us excellent mulled wine and warmed us up a bit. If they read this forum they'll know who we mean. lp. Rok and Helena

Hello predecessors!
Our group, there were 6 of us, on Saturday walked half the trail, from Cirkulane to the bakery. Thanks to you for the partially broken trail, at places where you missed the path we did too, three times we struggled with searching and asking around, but we still reached the goal. It was a beautiful winter day, pleasant for hiking. We'll do the second part of the trail soon. Best regards.

Aha great felix, that our trail helped you at least a bit. Yes we on Saturday also started in Cirkulane and went to Gruškovski hum and further towards Paradiž and Slatina where you finished at Blanka Arnecic but we had to walk a bit more than you because we had to go from the bakery still to farm Kozarcan where we slept, that's exactly where čarli.si posted above on the second picture where the weather station tower is visible, Kozarcan is really about 300 m below it if you descend through the vineyard. And second day meaning yesterday we climbed back those 300 m to that tower to get back on Bračič trail and continued towards Gradišča and Dolane over Veliki vrh back to Cirkulane, as I mentioned total we had 15 hours walking in two days. Our pictures follow.

From your description I can't exactly figure out where you went to Gruškovski Hum, namely on the way to Brezovec (pic 2) there were no traces of your tracks (we went exactly on the Bračičeva trail route). Lp

Yes this trail is a bit tricky for orientation in some parts. Partly because paths cross (Brezovec, Gradišča Hum-Arnejčič) and you end up on HPP and go a bit elsewhere-tested. Some trees with markers have ended up in the trees (Paradiž). In such conditions as you I haven't walked it yet, but it would be a bit tough in one day.

Felix we also went exactly through Bračičeva mountain trail, we stuck to the markers and signs for Bračičeva trail, except to Gruškovski hum at the start from Cirkulan we went a slightly closer path, when a local told us about a shortcut and we went there where there was a sign for Florijan in that direction and then after about 800 meters we turned left up the hill on the road and climbed up the road to the top only at the top at the stamp box we got a bit confused and went back down to the road on the same slope as we had broken trail up to the box, we should have gone from the stamp box on top straight to the other side down through snow but we went around on the road a few meters and were back at the markers. From here on to the end we stuck exactly to the markers and signs for Bračičeva trail and didn't stray from it anymore.

Aditaker, exactly that first part I meant, it's quite a detour. Well on that "slope" we also went in your footsteps. I wish you many more beautiful trails, come maybe sometime to our Šentilj trail, more about it at PD Paloma. Lp

Felix I just got the logbooks for the Šentilj mountain trail by mail a few days ago and we'll walk it soon, so can you give us some useful info or a tip for an easier path. Or at least tell us about some good restaurant on the trail?

We did the 2nd part of Bračič Trail too, not in the forecasted weather but in rain. Where it crosses Haloze trail, it's still not fully clear everywhere which way which trail goes. Thanks Lajči for company, no need to worry about orientation as he has it all at his fingertips.

Hi, the guide doesn't list locations for all CPs. Where are the stamps in Slatina, Gradišča and Veliki vrh settlements?

This weekend four of us headed on Bračič Trail. We slept in Dravci at Korpič. Highly recommend!!
From first to second point almost 9 km. Normal? And almost 2.5 hours. We had some issues finding the path, luckily friendly locals everywhere told us where to go and offered drinks gladly. Especially over meadow it's hard to see!
Views not best but nice. At end it sprinkled us a bit today... But back to Haloze!
