Really, this Brložen ridge is beautiful. I read all the records about it in one go. Bravo.
I hope I manage to get up there before tick season.

Ridge that's the sweetest to me in my home area. Wild, untouched, with quite a demanding approach, but once in it - poetrycool
Had Jany with me so he too enjoyed the beauties, secrets of this place.
Cold morning, numb fingers from cold rock, nice sunny day, snack (Stanko's salami) on warmed grass. Descent along Heavenly ledge. Steep, demanding descent to Tesen. After cca. 3 hours at the starting point and on draught beercool
nice holiday morning

Today I got a unique opportunity. Brložen ridge. Gotta thank #geppo who took me along.
Not easy, gotta climb rock that's nicely structured but pretty unreliable, crumbles and pulls out of the ground. So instructions before entry were real strict and short. "Check every hold and rock twice!! Clear!" I obeyed. We climbed solo so any flying piece doesn't hit the second climber.
Poetry.

Nice spots, nice to see how you enjoy. I'll be back there soon... And advice to check rock twice cracked me up good, cos it's the only right one for this ridgenasmeh Good names too, we'll stick to first explorer's choices. Once at ledge I bumped straight into chamois herd. Let it stay for those residents and occasional us intruders/curious folks. What still ain't clear to me is ikebanavelik nasmeh

Hahavelik nasmeh nothing, next time I'll pick up the hairs and take them to the health center. If the result is positive, we know what's coming for intentional chamois offenders...nasmeh

Today I use a short break at work and slowly climb along the Tesen stream to check the lower (missing) part of the ridge. At the key spotnasmeh I unexpectedly bump into and meet Zlatko in person, who was in this wilderness right ahead of me. He kindly shows me the easiest access (well, still an access that requires a firm step) to the impressive prince's stone. Once there, no thought of following the chamois back, so time for (at least for me) a pretty demanding ridge. Slowly and cautiously steep upwards, as instructed. No vertigo luckily, though the wind tosses me well and the sun is nice. Higher at my 0-0-0 point I sit for a long time. I explore and by chance below the summit find another ikebana. Intentionally descend the ledge and back to my beloved promenade and via the known variant of the northern forest path back to the start of the gorge. Some pictures uploaded under last year's photo post. P.s. Thanks for the nice talk and really good instructionsnasmeh I planned to approach via the ledge from the south variant I eyed last time.

Congrats!!!
I was really glad to meet you. When I saw you from afar climbing the path, I first thought it was "a local".
It was a pleasure to help you a bit. The approach is pretty demanding; you have to be careful not to roll back into the stream.velik nasmeh
The SW wind tossed me too, so I crawled on all fours most of the time. Today I thoroughly checked the approach options from the SW side of the ridge. The access to the prince's stone is similarly tough, and the variant you took today is the best...velik nasmeh
cheers

Winter Brložen
Morning -4°C when parking under Krvavica. Tesen stream gorge icy, rocks covered in ice, caution is advised. Usual ridge approach snowy and icy. Higher up it's dry and I look for another approach. I miss it, decide to try climbing the rock barrier blocking the passage to the ridge instead of descending. Beside the ice-cold rock, strong gusts of west wind cool us. On the ridge it's much worse, we stagger towards the summit.
When we roll into the lee, it's much better and we warm up a bit. At Zajčeva hut we take a break and continue to Krvavica. We decide not to go to Čemšeniska in this wind.
On Krvavica summit it blows so hard that we flee to the S side, which offers shelter. On the icy path we slide down (as much as possible in these conditions) to the valley.
Icy, little snow, met no one. Strong W wind cooled us the whole way.
Cheers

smatjaz

That forest path starts at Zaplanina and splits somewhere in the middle into two paths; the lower and the upper.

The upper one leads to some barrier, near which a forest path from Presedelj joins.

On exactly this part of Čemple, which has this UPPER road visible in the picture and you mention it, I hiked to the summit via Šavnice and was all around (Gunetova Reber, Krvavica, Zaplanina, Presedelj, Prvine,...) but really didn't go further along this road towards S/SW. But I think exactly this UPPER road seen in the picture doesn't lead to Presedelj. The LOWER road in the picture leads to the main road towards Presedelj, but arrives quite lower than the pass.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ben

I know the lower path well and it goes just as Bandzo wrote. I haven't hiked the upper one yet and now I'm really curious where you end up if you follow it??

If my memory doesn't deceive me you reach a barrier located somewhere above Presedelj and if you continue along it to the very end, you get to Zaplanina. The last part definitely holds true. The first part, reaching the barrier (if it's even still there?) I deduce from the altitude and descent direction.

It is true though that on this part of Čemple, especially on this road, bear paw prints are often found in spring mežikanje The northern part of Čemšeniška is really so pristine, untouched and wild.

Bandzo

The upper path is a forest road, which I stepped onto last year when I ascended to Čemšenika directly up the impressive forest ridge from the road below Stari grad (https://www.hribi.net/trenutnerazmere.asp?slo=1&gorovjeid=25&id=2146). The picture is exactly from the bend. Above it there's a very nice walk with views away from the salt pan. Further along it towards the extensive meadows below Gunetova glava I haven't gone from that direction. Going downhill it joins the marked path that goes to Čemšenika from the pass. The lower one is of course the classic road connecting the Krvavica area with the area a bit below Presedelje. Nice trip Zlatko, quite serious in the snowcool!

Bandzo - you wrote it correctly. If you start this (the upper path on Zlatko's picture) from the Zaplanina side, on the Zaplanina - Presedlje pass road somewhere towards the last third you have to take the branch to the right (worse road). This one ascends further across the slopes of Čemšenika to the junction with the marked path. If you continue along it, you first reach the bend (my picture), further on towards the beautiful meadows between Čemšenika and Krvavica.
