Cerje

27.1.2015 from Cerje I observed clouds falling from the sky. In a few minutes they descended from above the peaks to the lowlands and disintegrated. Truly magical.

20.6.2015 the rain cooled the air just right for an evening walk on the Kras. This time on the gravel road past Pečina and Pečinka towards Fajti hill and then left to Cerje.
I avoided this path for quite some time, as walking on rolling stones was really tedious. Now there's almost no more river gravel that they stupidly dumped on the path years ago, and walking on the gravel road is pleasant again.

Last time on 10.10.2015 I posted some impressions from Kras under the topic Fajti hrib:

Since then a lot of photo material has accumulated. Also for New Year's Eve I tried to catch the last sun, but gray clouds covered the sky long before sunset. On 1.1.2016 the sun finally shone in the afternoon and warmed pleasantly, but unfortunately didn't create a splendor of colors at sunset into the sea.
Posting some photos from then when Kras was still glowing in fiery sumac colors (it hasn't been so luxuriously red for a long time as last autumn), to now when only the sky glows.
Many magical moments in 2016!

In recent days sumac is gaining color quite intensively. Just over a week ago brown prevailed more than red. In the now colored leaves there's just a bit more intensity and freshness. A few more days and Kras will shine in its finest light. Today's view of freshly snow-whitened Julian Alps slowly appearing from behind clouds and golden glowing sea – worth persisting in the cold wind that despite warm clothes cooled quite decently.

Colors. Yesterday due to late hour and hazy sky barely captured the sumac, which recent rain unfortunately didn't add intensity to. After sunset finally some joy. Wind cooled the air well this time too.

Zlatica, thanks. I'd like to show more sumac, but no luck catching it in full beauty. When I get to the bushes, wind always interferes, sun is low or hidden in haze, so no real mood. So all sumac lovers invited to Kras for first-hand impressions.

We said, let's go somewhere where there's ruj, and that I haven't been yet. We chose Cerje, and my concluding thought of that day was how right SuzanaM was, when she so often visited these parts and admired the beauty she spotted on these paths.
Some of that autumn beauty we could capture on Sunday toonasmeh.

Ločanka left a question by picture 4, which was either overlooked or "too difficult" for an answer without map help. I was interested too, but there was no time before. And we hiked in the same area that day, which really offered 1A views. Quite interesting that none of the panorama recognition programs I know lists the peaks left and right behind Sabotin.
https://www.udeuschle.de/panoramas/makepanoramas_en.htm
I don't know the reason for that, as it happens rarely. On the left, Hohe Warte or Monte Coglians is visible, at 2780 m the highest peak of the Carnic Alps.
http://www.hribi.net/gora/monte_coglians_hohe_warte/27/649
So from the Karst, a border peak with Austria is visible at a distance of over 100 km!?
I'm attaching a few more pictures for support. If anyone in the direction of Sabotin recognizes some other peak with snow, I'll admit my mistake without a bad conscience that I didn't make an effort.
Above Skalnica is dajnsko Vrh nad peski, as mirank pointed out. Thanks.
The program does not recognize Udeuschle vrh1

Thanks for your curiosity about peak names, now I have at least something solved, it haunted me the whole week. Adding panorama right of Sabotin, and once more zoomed right and left side of it. Taken from Rihemberk castle.
I assume that the right is Muzcev ridge.1

That above Sv. Gora is Vrh nad peski and not B Grintavec. Coglians from Cerje in my opinion is not visible.
