On Thursday to Clean Peak from Bca - only with my own muscles nasmeh

The idea came in summer when I biked to Dol pod plazmi in Vrsnik. Then I felt I had some energy left and could hike from there to my beloved Clean Peak. Of course I didn't continue then, as my supplies of drink and food were minimal...
Bike ascent passed without issues. Gravel road from ramp at Vasi na Skali to Ravno dol drags much less by bike than on foot :-) Though a couple times it really bites the knees.
At destination parked bike a bit off main path and locked it to a tree. Otherwise these places are so remote that locking wouldn't even be needed. mežikanje

Continuing on foot was quite pleasant, especially as it was so nicely warm.
So the ascent wasn't that lonely, I met 3 hikers too. At the top I couldn't linger too much, as quite some way awaited me...
Views as always wonderful, autumn colors delighting the eyes more and more. Just larches need another 10 days for golden yellow hues...

Total good 50 km and 1300 elevation on bike and approx 10 km and good 450 elevation on foot.

Given the praises here I had to visit it to see with my own eyes what holds true. Everything does. It really is a fantastic viewpoint, amid mighty two-thousanders, so I'll definitely visit again. Especially wonderful in autumn colors, when the eye gets misty from beauty.
Found the path without trouble, as there are enough cairns, plus I have two super dogs that lead me on the right paths nasmeh

No bears in sight, nor snakes. But that many more people, I counted 15 to 20 on descent, as I was early morning and thus first at parking and alone at summit. Another wonderful day where we love most nasmeh

12.1. to Clean Peak in fresh snow.

Start at second ramp at cca 1000 m. Road almost bare at start. At 1250 m snow still less than 10 cm, at Planina v Plazeh (1540 m) already over half meter. There I put on snowshoes, as sinking became more annoying. Path through forest nicely trackable thanks to ski tourer who went a bit before me. nasmeh

Snow as expected more and more. After forest exit wonderful views to snow-covered trees below peak. In sloped traverse used ice axe for better feel. Last part of path quite windy. Every few minutes stronger gusts, swirls and snow carried over slope. On summit small plain of drifted snow formed. Due to harsh conditions soon turned back to valley.
When I thought I saw all for today, experienced "golden light" in forest. Right place right time. nasmeh

Road to ramp walked so many times it didn't drag. Especially recalling memories of unforgettable day. Full moon lit it for a while.
Total almost 18 km...

Another good half-meter high step and I'm at the top.

The logbook box nicely decorated. It didn't even cross my mind to sign. I would have ruined the installation, and my fingers were already frozen...

Clean Peak on Sunday in nice sunny weather. Above pasture sinking to knees started, up on my own between spruces and gullies sometimes sank even over waist. Last part of western ridge already quite strenuous but persisted. Most of the time used ice axe for safety, if fall into some hole. Views fantastic. For return put on "windbreaker" and down that last one. Returned on road which is quite long.
